Heroic defeat Gambit to win ESL Pro League 13

CadiaN is on fire. Watch the insane 1v4 clutch.

The ESL Pro League final was a rollercoaster ride where we saw two exceptional teams fight it out with each other for the title and the cash price of $200,000.

The matchup was a best of 5 and it started off with Heroic winning the first map on Vertigo which was a closely contested matchup with a scoreline of 19-17.

The second map was Vertigo and Gambit made sure that they earned their spot into the finals and replied back by winning 16-3.

The third map went a long way as both the teams wanted to win it and the map went into overtime but with the help of  Casper ‘cadiaN’ Møller they secured the map 28-16.

The series was still not over as Gambit came back on Overpass and fought back to win the map 16-10 to take the finals to the last and final map Mirage.

The final map saw Heroic winning in a heroic manner with Cadian pulling out one of his best career plays and clutching out 1v4 with a knife kill and that too on the match point to put the cherry on top.

Heroic finally won the series 3-2 and took away $200,00 home and a guaranteed spot at the BLAST Premier Global Final in December. Although Gambit lost the finals Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov was still named the ESL Pro League Season 13 MVP for his “amazing consistency and impact throughout the event.”
