How to check trust factor in CSGO

Are there any ways to check your CSGO trust factor? Read on to find out.

The trust factor matchmaking system was introduced to CSGO in late 2017. The system assigns a value to the accounts of players and finds other players having similar trust factors for their matchmaking games.

The system takes into account several aspects like hours played, total matchmaking games played, commendations, reports, and even stats from other Steam games while calculating the trust factor of a player.

During the time of the release of this system, Valve had stated that there are no possible ways to check your trust factor in CSGO. However, it appears like you can get a rough estimate of where your trust factor lies with a simple trick.

All you need to do is queue with your friends and ask them if they get a yellow or red warning message when entering your lobby. If they do, then your trust factor is in fact, low. However, if they don’t receive any message, then you’re probably good to go unless every single one of your friends has a lower trust factor themselves.

To put things simply, there are three kinds of trust factors in CSGO – Green, Yellow and Red. Having a green trust factor means you’re in the safe zone while having a yellow one means you have a moderate trust factor. If you have a red trust factor, you better start working to improve it if you don’t wanna get matched against cheaters and griefers.

How to increase trust factors, you ask? Simply follow these tips:

1) Get commendations from other players.
2) Try not to get reported.
3) Don’t attempt to use cheats, even on alternate accounts.
4) Be an active member of the community.
5) Play more matchmaking games.
6) Don’t be toxic in-game, since that’s the easiest way to get reported.
7) Do more Overwatch cases, and try to predict the outcome accurately.

Contrary to popular beliefs, increasing trust factor in CSGO isn’t difficult at all. Unless you’re deep down the pit, it’s easy to climb up by following these simple steps. Remember to take a break and play other Steam games if you’re bored. Valve has already confirmed that playing other games also influence your trust factor in a positive way.
