Liquid Reportedly Looking To Replace Twistzz With FalleN

A massive change in the Team Liquid roster might be underway.

According to a report from Rush B Media, Team Liquid might be looking to replace star rifler Russel “Twistzz” Van with legendary AWPer and in-game leader Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo ahead of the 2021 season.

Previously, Twistzz had claimed in a post-game interview after the IEM Global Challenge grand finals that their game against Astralis would be his last game in the roster. This goes in accordance with the report hinting towards his upcoming departure from the org.

“That was actually my last with Liquid,” Twistzz said in the interview. “I hope that I’m back next year in a new home. It was a mutual decision after looking over a couple of things, and I think it’s for the best for both sides.”

The move might come as a result of the team underperforming over the last few months. With an HLTV 2.0 rating of 1.06 this year, Twistzz currently stands at the second-lowest position in Team Liquid.

The report also states that Team Liquid was practicing with FalleN back in October when Twistzz was on his break from CS.

FalleN has been an inactive member of MiBR for the past three months, but has been maintaining his individual performances. The 29-year-old asked to be benched from the MiBR roster following the org’s decision to bid farewell to two of his teammates and coach, Fernando “fer” Alvarenga, Epitacio “TACO” de Melo, and Ricardo “dead” Sinigaglia.
