According to reports from Jaxon and Esport fire, Complexity are now in advanced talks with Copenhagen Flames to acquire the latter’s CS:GO roster ahead of the 2022 pro season and further.
After a near-flawless run at the IEM Fall 2021 followed by a 9-11th finish at the PGL Stockholm Major, players from Copenhagen Flames have now been linked to Complexity after they were transfer listed by the Danish Organization. Prior to the ongoing negotiations with Complexity, several reports did confirm that a plethora of teams had approached the Danes to buy them out of their contracts until the Texas-based organization showed up and led the pack.
Previously dubbed as the “Juggernaut”, Complexity revamped their roster in 2019 with four new players including blameF, Will “RUSH” Wierzba, Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke, Valentin “poizon” Vasilev, joining Owen “oBo” Schlatter on the main roster.
Ever since the revamp, Complexity never found their position at the top with just a lone championship at the BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals. Post their win, Complexity underwent a plethora of temporary changes in the faces of Niels Christian ‘NaToSaphiX’ Sillassen, Jakob “JUGi” Hansen, and Otto “ottoNd” Sihvo who stepped in while poizon and k0nfig went on a medical leave.
Patrick “es3tag” Hansen who previously played for Heroic, Astralis and in the end Cloud9 found himself a new home at Complexity in July only to be placed on the transfer list after a period of just four months alongside jks with blameF and poizon too getting released from their contracts after an unsuccessful run at the European RMR event ahead of the ongoing PGL Stockholm Major. As of now jks is the lone player from the previous squad who remains contracted to his now ex-team following NiP signing es3tag.
Copenhagen Flames have indeed managed to turn some heads from their recent showings, most notably at the recently concluded PGL Major and the RMR event leading to the same.
Will Complexity acquire Copenhagen Flames, their squad for 2022 would look like:
- Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen
- Fredrik “roeJ” Jørgensen
- Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi
- Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss
- Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard
