What Does the Signing of Karrigan Mean for FaZe Clan?

Rumours had been circulating in the world of esports that Finn “Karrigan” Anderson was going to make a return to FaZe Clan in the near future. We can confirm the move has finally happened and Karrigan will step into the gap left by the outgoing Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer.

Kajbjer played his last tournament for the team at the Blast Premier Spring series and he helped FaZe Clan secure their spot at the Spring Finals, which was a great parting gift. However, thoughts now turn to Karrigan and what he can bring to the team.

Having been moved to the bench at FaZe Clan in December 2018, Karrigan moved to Team Envy at the Americas Minor but they failed to claim a spot having lost the play-in. Just a month later, Mousesports overhauled their roster and the change included three new players, one of which was Karrigan. The Dane was named their new in-game leader and the team went on to win their first ESL Pro League title at the Season 10 finals, which was quite an achievement.

That was followed by a victory at Cs_summit 5 and it soon became apparent what Karrigan was capable of producing as team leader. However, this should be nothing new for FaZe Clan, as Karrigan led them to the number one ranking in the world by winning seven big events. It will be interesting to see how Karrigan fits in with his new teammates as only Håvard “rain” Nygaard remains from the team Karrigan left in 2018.

Karrigan is due to make his debut at IEM Katowice 2021 and big things will be expected of him and FaZe Clan. They are one of eight teams to have secured a place in the main part of the competition and the team now comprises of Håvard “rain” Nygaard, Marcelo “coldzera” David, Helvijs “broky” Saukants, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, and Finn “karrigan” Andersen.

A quick glance at Karrigan’s record shows he has picked up plenty of major CS:GO tournament victories as captain and that is exactly what FaZe Clan can look forward to in the coming months and years. The Dane has a huge amount of experience and if you want to back him to lead FaZe to more victories in 2021 and beyond, you must check out the bookmaker reviews on betting24.dk. Here you will find not only the latest bookmaker reviews plus all the current bonuses and promotions.

You only have to look at the progress of Mousesports under the leadership of Karrigan to understand what this signing means for FaZe. He pushed the team into the world’s top 10, where they remained for some time. Olofmeister did well during his time with FaZe but the team often struggled to perform at the highest level. This should change under the guidance of Karrigan and we expect to see FaZe featuring regularly at the business of the end of major tournaments throughout 2021 and over the course of the next few years.
