In what certainly comes as a great news for esports fans across the world, League of Legends pro Luka “Perkz” Perkovic and the legendary CSGO AWPer Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut have been named in the prestigious Forbes 30 under 30 European class of 2021 for the sports and games section.
At the time of voting into the list, ZywOo and Perkz were 20 and 22 years old respectively.
Forbes’ 30 under 30 series is an annual list of people still in their 20s who show brilliance in their respective fields. These fields include social media, sports, music, esports, or others.
Since joining team Vitality in 2018, ZywOo has managed to impress Counter-Strike fans worldwide with his AWPing skills. He was declared as the player of the year twice by HLTV, beating the likes of CSGO legends like s1mple or NiKo in 2019 and 2020.
Perkz is often called by his fans as one of the best Midlanders across Europe. Prior to joining Cloud9, he helped his former team G2 Esports reach the Grand Finals at Worlds in 2019. Perkz is the only player to ever win eight EU LCS/LEC titles and currently plays for team Cloud9.
