Cybersport.ru and Skillbox open a joint section about education in esports and games

Online university Skillbox initiated the creation of a new section in the largest Russian-language media about esports Cybersport.ru: this section will focus on education in the gaming industry and esports.

The section will publish news about thematic courses and student competitions, analytical materials, reviews of interesting strategies, and practical tips that will help esports fans and gamers in developing their gaming skills.

Nikolay Petrossian, ESforce Holding Media Director, Head of Cybersport.ru and RuHub:

“Contrary to the stereotypes, esports requires serious training, and we are glad that we can continue to actively develop the educational part of the industry. Last year, in Skillbox online university we found a reliable partner to promote training and further employment in esports.

This new joint section is a logical extension of cooperation with the holding. Follow the new section and you will find a lot of interesting and useful information!”

Denis Tatyankin, Head of Games Department at Skillbox:

“‘Education‘ section on Сybersport.ru is an opportunity to make all our content more accessible to millions of people and employees in the gaming industry, from gamers to game designers.”

The authors of the project note that video games and esports have long been more than just entertainment. Being in game, esports fans, and gamers learn foreign languages, develop communication skills and strategic thinking. Universities and schools are constantly adding elements of esports and gamification to their lessons and electives: student teams regularly participate in national competitions, school tournaments in computer sports are organized and special faculties of esports are created. Last year, Skillbox online university and ESforce Holding started a number of joint training courses: “Dota 2 Academy”, “CS:GO Academy”, “Management in esports”, “Commentator in esports”, “Streamer”.

The teaching staff consists of Virtus.pro stars – Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin, Danil “gpK~” Skutin, Jami “Jame” Ali, Marek “YEKINDAR” Galinskis, commentators of the largest Russian esports studio, RuHub – Rustam “Adekvat” Mavlyutov and Evgeny “sleepsomewhile” Slipchik, other Epic Esports Events’ representatives, and different specialists.
