Digital Isle of Man is responsible for the thriving Digital sector in the Isle of Man, spanning the Island’s e-Gaming industry and successful digital economy which includes the digital media sector.
Digital Isle of Man has a new head and new head of Esports that has stepped in is none other than Chris Kissack himself who takes over the position on August 3rd onwards.
Chris Kissack has already served in the scene and has relative experience before coming to the Island, he was an Esports Specialist at Amber Gaming, a company which provides solutions for licensing, regulatory compliance and updates, corporate services, accounting and training for online gambling and esports companies.
Lyle Wraxall, CEO of Digital Isle of Man, added a few words on Chris’s welcome: “I am very pleased to welcome Chris to our team. It was vital that we found the right candidate to drive forward this new, exciting venture for the Island, and Chris’ experience in the sector, expert knowledge, and enthusiasm for our esports proposition made him a perfect fit for the role.”
Chris has built up noticeable skillsets as he was working numerous positions over the course of two decades, be it IT, computing, operations, sales or Marketing. Chris chose to pursue full-time in Esports from August 2019 onwards.
Chris Kissack returned a few words on this new journey he has chosen to sail:
“I am looking forward to continuing my work in raising the Island’s profile within the esports space. My time at Amber has been a very positive experience and I’m very grateful to both Ted and the team for giving me the opportunity to help them create the Island’s first dedicated service offerings for the esports industry.
“As a proud Manxman it is a great feeling to join the Digital Agency to partner with local businesses and institutions to deliver the island’s esports strategy, embrace this thriving new industry and help grow this exciting new sector for the Island.”
Esports Insider added further on the same:
”It’s interesting to see the Isle of Man Government taking esports more seriously with this newly-created role, especially considering it has plenty of incentives for esports companies that would be open to making the move. Will this open the floodgates in terms of esports activity on the island? We’ll have to wait and see, but Kissack’s experience and contacts will certainly help get things off the ground.”
