Dota 2 Streamer Mason Hits 10K MMR in Under 1K Games

Popular streamer and former Dota 2 pro Mason “mason” Venne has just hit the grand milestone of 10,000 MMR in the MOBA within only a few months of playing the game on his new account. Reaching 10K MMR in Dota 2 is beyond impressive, and to top it off, the 32-year-old achieved this milestone in under 1000 games played on the account.

For the uninitiated, Mason found himself in the headlines for all the wrong reasons at the end of 2023 when he received the infamous ‘Highly Toxic Lump of Coal’ and had his main account permanently suspended for breaking the Steam ToS. Following the incident, Mason had to create a new account and began the ranked grind from scratch.

On March 28, 2024, Mason entered the 10K MMR bracket in Dota 2, with only 829 games played on his new account. The former team Infamous player took to Twitter to celebrate his achievement, claiming that he is the “best streamer/player on the come up.”

After calibrating his account at around 8K MMR on January 4, 2024, Mason achieved the 10K MMR milestone in just under three months.

While making pointed remarks towards fellow streamer Max “qojqva” Bröcker, Mason also assured his fans that it’s only a matter of time before he breaks into the 11K bracket.

“10K now. 10K achieved, 11K will be done in no time, that’s a guarantee and I will be 12K, and these guys… These European times I’ll be f**king sh*tting on them,” Mason said during a livestream.
