Dota 2 The International 2024 Prize Pool: What We Know So Far

Will TI13 Break Records or Follow TI12's Footsteps?

With only a few months left until The International 2024 Dota 2 tournament, esports fans from throughout the world are eagerly anticipating the event and speculating about the prize pool that it will offer.

As the largest annual event in the Dota 2 competitive scene, The International tournaments are renowned for their enormous prize pools. In fact, the TI10 prize pool boasted the largest prize pool in esports history, with over $40 Million USD up for grabs.

For the unaware, the majority of The International’s prize pool is crowdfunded, with 25% of Battle Pass sales directly contributing to the total amount.

However, since last year, Valve has shifted its focus away from Battle Passes filled with exclusive skins, choosing instead to prioritize gameplay updates and quality-of-life improvements.

As a result, the prize pool of TI12 went down dramatically, and a portion of the community also expressed their disappointment at the lackluster Battle Pass that the game received last year.

With that being said, should Valve follow the same path this year, the prize pool for the upcoming TI13 might just see another notable decrease.

The prize pool for The International 2024 hinges significantly on the contents of the highly anticipated Dota 2 2024 Battle Pass. If Valve includes some juicy new arcanas and other compelling rewards for the players to enjoy, we can anticipate a substantial increase in the prize pool over last year.
