Ninjas in Pyjamas adds Daxak and Lelis to Dota 2 roster

Ninjas in Pyjamas have rebuilt their Dota 2 squad

After an early exit at the WePlay! Bukovel Minor, the team has confirmed an overhaul to the roster. Nico ’Gunnar’ Lopez has left the roster while Nikita ’Daxak’ Kuzmin and Rodrigo ’Lelis’ Santos has joined.

With hopes at repeating last year’s success, the roster hasn’t qualified for any DPC Majors and has also performed poorly in any the Minors they had qualified to.

Noting that NIP has two new recruits respectively from the South American and CIS region respectively.

Daxak is well known for his carry play during 2018-19 Dota Pro Circuit season for Gambit Esports. Carrying Gambit through several tournaments, they were also one game away from securing themselves a direct invite to The International 9.

Lelis has been a buzz recently, originally from paiN Gaming, he played as a stand-in for beastcoast at the DreamLeauge Leipzig Major as an offlaner. He caught many eyes for domination on his Underlord at the event.

Lelis taking over as an offlaner means that Saahil ’Universe’ Arora will be switching to support role.

Like other teams, this new roster will be playing qualifiers for the ESL One Los Angeles Major on Feb 9th.
