Remembering Tony Todd's Legacy in Dota 2

Tony Todd, the voice behind multiple Dota 2 heroes including Dragon Knight, Night Stalker, and Viper, has passed away at the age of 69. He also voiced the Eldwurm Slyrak in the animated Dota 2 Netflix series Dragon’s Blood.

As per a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Todd’s wife, Fatima, confirmed that he passed away at home in Los Angeles on Wednesday after a long illness.

Although he is renowned for his work in Dota 2, Tony Todd is also widely recognized outside the gaming world for his prominent roles in films like Candyman, where he played the infamous killer, Final Destination, Transformers, The Crow, and Night of the Living Dead.

Apart from movies, Todd has made appearances in multiple popular TV series including 24, Homicide: Life on the Street, The X-Files, 21 Jump Street, Law & Order, and more.

This is not the first loss the Dota 2 community has experienced this year. On July 20, 2024, Sam Mowry, the voice behind iconic heroes like Anti-Mage, Beastmaster, Clockwerk, Necrophos, Slardar, and Warlock, also passed away at the age of 64.
