W33 Removed From Team Nigma’s Active Roster

Through an announcement on April 7th, team Nigma confirmed that Aliwi “w33” Omar would no longer continue playing on the Dota 2 active roster of the European org.

“Omar has contributed a lot to the team and the organization,” Nigma said in a Tweet. “We are grateful that he is part of the team Nigma family.”

The org further confirmed that w33 will be able to pursue “any opportunities he sees fit,” which implies that he might be moving to a new team soon.

The decision comes following the poor performance of team Nigma in the recent ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021. Nigma had to play without their star player MinD_ContRoL due to him testing positive for Covid-19 a few days prior. They were the first team to be eliminated from the event.

This announcement has certainly taken the fan base of team Nigma by storm, as many of them have expressed their dissatisfaction with the decision while replying to the organization’s Tweet.

The reason behind the sudden removal of w33 hasn’t been disclosed by team Nigma as of yet. The identity of the player that’ll replace w33 in the new Nigma active roster still remains to be seen.
