Doublelift considered retiring from competitive League of Legends with Bjergsen

Losing two star players could mean some serious trouble for TSM’s League of Legends roster.

On, October 24th Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg announced his exit from the League of Legends active roster of Team SoloMid. The 24-year-old took the next step in his League career and will act as the head coach of TSM from now on.

It appears like Bjergsen’s departure may have gotten a lot worse for TSM, as Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng said that he considered retiring from competitive League of Legends alongside his teammate.

“When he told me, I considered retiring alongside him for a week,” Doublelift tweeted. “Soren is one of the best players and people I’ve ever played with, the shoes will be tough to fill.”

During his Twitch stream a few hours later, Doublelift shared his thoughts regarding this with his viewers.

“Feels pretty bad, of course,” the 27-year-old said. “I wanted to retire too when I heard, ‘cause I think the team will just not be the same.”

Doublelift currently plays as an ADC for TSM. He joined the North American organization back in 2015, before eventually parting ways in 2017. He later rejoined the squad towards the beginning of 2020.s
