The “Hero of Justice” DLC for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, inspired by the 2022 film “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero,” is on the horizon, bringing with it a wave of exciting new content. While the inclusion of Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 was previously announced, Bandai Namco has now revealed the full roster of additions.
Gohan and Piccolo take center stage with a significant portion of the DLC dedicated to their respective arsenals. Players can anticipate four new variations for each character, including the powerful Beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo forms. The formidable Cell Max, the Red Ribbon Army’s ultimate creation, rounds out the playable character additions.
Notably absent from the DLC are Dr. Hedo, Magenta, and the Dragon Ball Super incarnation of Pan, despite their prominence in the film.
A curious discrepancy emerged between the trailers released on Twitter and YouTube. The Twitter version showcased Piccolo in a Nail-inspired costume as a bonus, while the YouTube trailer featured Piccolo in a Red Ribbon Army disguise.
Beyond the character additions, the DLC introduces three new Custom Battles. While not explicitly detailed in the Twitter trailer, glimpses of potential matchups were provided in the YouTube version, featuring clashes between Cell Max, Gohan, and Goku, as well as a confrontation between the Gamma duo and a group of androids.
A new mode, “Legendary Warrior Face-Off,” will also be implemented. This mode challenges players to test their skills against powerful opponents, with Broly serving as the inaugural adversary.
Release Date and Availability
The “Hero of Justice” DLC is scheduled for release on January 23, 2025, at 6:00 PM EST / 3:00 PM PST. Season Pass holders will enjoy early access, with the DLC becoming available to them on January 20, 2025, at the same time.
