Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Preview in Gamescom Was a Smashing Success

The Return of a Legend: Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Reimagines Budokai Tenkaichi

After nearly 20 years, the renowned Dragon Ball Z: Budoki Tenchaichi franchise is finally returning with its latest iteration, namely Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.

The latest DB game was showcased on Gamescom Latam where top media houses got their hands on the game and suffice it to say that not one of them had anything significantly negative to point out. Sadly, we do not have any clips to showcase how far the franchise has come in the past two decades.

Several games have come out focused around DB but nothing was able to capture the hearts of gamers like Budokai Tenkaichi did back in the day. In the past two years, the Dragon Ball story has come a long way with plenty of new characters and tectonic shifts in the power scales, and suffice it to say that the new game will house all of it.

Every character in the game is carefully crafted with their powers adjusted similar to how the anime has depicted it. This means the characters who did not go through a power-up in the later arcs of the story will likely remain far behind the likes of Goku and Vegeta whose powers are comparable to gods now.

The new game will feature all the new transformations like SSJ Blue and UI Goku. Not only does the game have characters from DB, DBZ, and DBS but non-canon storylines like GT will also be featured.

To summarize the experience, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero brings everything that fans loved about Budokai Tenkaichi and takes it up a notch. The animations have been carefully crafted to retain the essence of the anime. Characters get their own specially designed animations that uphold their unique personalities and traits to make the game as close to the anime as possible.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is set to release on October 11, 2024, so mark your calendars and clear your schedule to enjoy the true essence of Dragon Ball in a game after a long time.
