E-Frag announces $64,600 Razer Rising Stars CS:GO League

After announcing our tournament The World Championship we are ecstatic to announce a series of leagues that we will hold around the world with 64,600 USD up for grabs. As the name “Rising Stars” suggests, these leagues will be seasonal leagues aiming to support the grassroots CounterStrike: Global Offensive scene. The main goal is to support nonTier 1 teams as they work their way to become truly top teams. In fact, we plan on helping these teams in more ways than just helping them gain exposure. In the future we hope that these teams can become shareholders and partners of the event, to share the profits and successes of the event.

There will be four leagues in four regions (Europe, North America, South America and Southeast Asia). In total, 64,600 USD will be given out in these four leagues, while 12 online qualifiers will determine which teams qualify for these leagues. Although originally this was a 50,000 USD guaranteed prize pool tournament, it will now grow to 64,600 USD if the teams finish all of their matches.
