EA and Valve announce partnership

According to recent an update by Electronic Arts (EA), EA has announced that EA and Valve will be partnering up to allow Steam users to access EA games which were previously only available to Origin users (a platform exclusive to EA). As per the statement, EA Access will be making its way on to Steam by next-spring, this marks the first time that a subscription based service has ever been hosted on Steam.

The partnership between the two giants kicks off from November 15th when Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will make its debut on Steam, the pre-order option for the game is already up and running. EA has promised that in the coming months, Steam users will also get access to the well known EA hits namely The Sims 4 and Unravel Two. Multiplayer games on the other hand like Apex Legends, FIFA 20, and Battlefield V are expected to be making their way on to Steam by next year. It is also highlighted that EA is going to allow Origin and Steam users to play together when it comes to co-op and multiplayer titles, thus removing any barrier between the users of either platform.

EA Access, the subscription based service of EA not only promises a wide array of games but also VIP treatment for its subscribers which includes special discounts and in-game member benefits.

EA has promised to provide further news and updates about the partnership in the coming weeks and months.
