Epic Removes Fortnite Dragon Ball Skins from Shop

Epic Games recently removed Dragon Ball skins from Fortnite’s Web Shop, promising their return soon. Here’s what happened and what fans can expect.

Dragon Ball Skins Temporarily Pulled from Web Shop

Fortnite players were excited to find Dragon Ball skins briefly available in the Web Shop earlier this year. However, Epic Games quickly removed them, explaining that their early appearance was unintentional.

The Fortnite Web Shop allows players to browse and buy items without opening the game itself. Fans noticed that while the Dragon Ball skins were listed online, they weren’t visible in the in-game store. Popular Fortnite leaker, HYPEX, highlighted this unusual release, even providing direct purchase links for the skins.

Epic Games later confirmed that the Dragon Ball items were listed ahead of their planned release date. In an official statement on the Fortnite Status X (formerly Twitter) account, they assured fans that these items will return soon, though no exact date was given.

A Legacy of Dragon Ball Skins in Fortnite

Epic Games has steadily expanded its Dragon Ball collection since mid-2022. The first release featured Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and Bulma, followed by additional characters like Adult Gohan, Piccolo, Goku Black, Cell, and Frieza throughout 2023. More skins, including Trunks, Android 17, and Android 18, joined the roster in August 2024.

When the skins reappear, fans will have a wide selection of 12 characters to choose from, all inspired by Akira Toriyama’s iconic manga. However, there’s no confirmation yet on whether any new skins will be added to the lineup.

What’s Next for Dragon Ball Fans?

While players wait for the Dragon Ball skins to return, speculation about other collaborations in Fortnite continues. For instance, the upcoming Godzilla-themed skin has already generated buzz among the community.

In the meantime, Epic Games has reassured fans that their favorite Dragon Ball skins will be back in the shop soon. Whether you’re a long-time anime lover or a Fortnite enthusiast, this is an exciting opportunity to get your hands on some legendary characters once they make their official return.
