Earlier today, ESL has announced that Dust II will be replacing Cobblestone in the active map-pool for their future events starting with Intel Extreme Masters, Sydney which begins on May 1 and ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals which begins on May 14.

An updated version of Dust II appeared in the game client on October 19, 2017. The map had been under reconstruction for eight months. Dust II has replaced Cobblestone in the competitive map-pool on April 21, 2018. Many commentators, analysts and professional players are not happy with Valve’s decision.
At Intel Extreme Sydney, Sydney, 16 teams will fight, including the finalists of DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018 – Astralis and NaVi for a total prize pool $250,000.

ESL Pro League Season 7 will be held in Dallas on May 14. Sixteen teams from all across the planet will fight for the whopping prize pool $750,000. The online stage of the tournament is under process. 7 teams from Europe, 6 from North-America, 1 from South-America and 2 from Asia will qualify for the LAN finals through online qualifiers.
