Pepsi has announced a strategic partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) to elevate the fan experience at the inaugural Esports World Cup (EWC) this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This collaboration marks a significant step in uniting the realms of sports, entertainment, and esports, promising an unforgettable event for gaming enthusiasts worldwide.
Pepsi has committed to a multi-year deal as a strategic founding partner of the Esports World Cup. This partnership underscores Pepsi’s dedication to bridging the gap between traditional sports, entertainment, and the rapidly growing esports industry. By aligning with the EWC, Pepsi aims to enhance the overall experience for fans and participants alike, ensuring that the event is not just a competition but a celebration of gaming culture.
One of the highlights of this partnership is the introduction of interactive and immersive experiences for fans. Attendees can look forward to the Rockstar Bar, a unique venue where they can enjoy a variety of energizing drinks and participate in fun activities like karaoke. This initiative is designed to keep fans engaged and entertained between matches, adding a new dimension to the traditional esports event format.
Starting on July 3, Riyadh will transform into the epicenter of esports fandom and gaming culture. The event will be held in Boulevard City, a prime location that will host fans from around the globe.
Over eight weeks, the Esports World Cup will feature 22 game championships, with athletes and clubs competing for a share of more than $60 million in prize money — the largest prize pool in esports history.
In addition to the main competitions, the Esports World Cup will offer a variety of festival activities. These include numerous gaming activations, community tournaments, pop culture celebrations, and international experiences.
