Warzone Set to Be at Esports World Cup With $1 Million Prize

Everything You Need to Know About the Warzone Tournament at EWC 2024

The Esports World Cup will feature a Call of Duty: Warzone tournament, as revealed by the EWC Foundation. Call of Duty will play at the event, it was recently reported. The series will be split between two tournaments: one for Modern Warfare 3 and the other for Warzone.

Boasting a prize pool of over a million dollars, the event is set to run between the 3rd and 6th of July and like the rest of the tournaments will take place in Riyadh. The Warzone news follows the announcement of the COD MW3 tournament which boasts a bigger prize pool and some of the biggest names in esports will be there fighting for it.

The announcement of a major Warzone event has caused a commotion in the community as organizations are rushing to form squads with top players in the community to compete at the event. According to the information released by the organizers, the tournament will be divided into the following stages:

Solo Seeding Stage

  • Three Groups
  • Each Group Plays Four Maps
  • Scores Determine Group Stage Seeding

Group Stage

  • 21 Teams in Three Groups
  • 8 Maps Per Group
  • Top 14 Advance to Finals

Finals Stage

  • Top 14 Teams Playing for Points
  • 8 Maps Played Total
