CSGO Streamer Evelone Banned From Steam With $155K Inventory

Evelone appears to have received a community ban due to “stealing” other users’ items.

Scamming is not a new thing in the world of video games. Since the dawn of online multiplayer video games, scammers have continued surfacing over and over again in attempts to hijack in-game currency or rare items from other players.

While Steam Community is a heavily moderated platform for gaming, it isn’t free from scammers either. In fact, the intensity of scam attempts has increased exponentially over the past few years due to the increasing popularity of the platform. However, Steam seems to have done a decent job at keeping these scammers in check, as more and more instances of fraudulent users getting banned have surfaced recently.

While some of these bans were falsely placed and had to be revoked by Steam afterwards, many of these were in fact correct.

This time, it’s popular Twitch streamer and a friend of Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, Evelone, who has found himself receiving a community ban with an inventory of over $150,000. The ban can be confirmed on his SteamRep page.

Steam admins said in a message, “This account has been reported to have stolen another Steam account. The account has been suspended in accordance with the terms of the Steam Subscriber Agreement. Account blocking won’t be canceled.”

Evelone’s messages on Telegram.

Receiving a community ban means that Evelone will still be able to play on VAC secured servers, but won’t be able to interact with the Steam community. He’ll also be prohibited from trading his items, which means his $155,000 inventory can now never be traded (or cashed out through third-party websites.)

There’s also a possibility that the ban was placed wrongly, in which case it’s highly likely that his ban might be removed by Steam if he decides to submit a ticket.

Evelone currently rocks a follower count of over 1.2 million on Twitch. He is seen regularly streaming games like Among Us or CSGO on his channel.
