Evil Geniuses and G2 eliminated from DreamHack Masters Malmö

EG after having a fairly tale run at ESL One New York, soon faced a humiliating defeat at the hands of Mousesports. EG were eliminated after a 2-0 defeat against the European side.

The first half of the first map was a close one with an 8-7 scoreline favouring EG but Mousesports had the second half completely under their control to take Mirage with a 16-10 scoreline, David “frozen” Čerňanský leading the scoreboard with 27 kills. Mousesports won the second map 22-20 in the second overtime, with Özgür “woxic” Eker topping the charts with 36 kills.

On the other side of the tournament where two European sides clashed in the colours of G2 and Fnatic, Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson was having one of the finest matches of his life. The Swed gave the French a run for their money taking the series 2-0.
