Another breaking from the Danish land, the famous football club Copenhagen is apparently looking to sign a CSGO team. The news came in just after the Danish roster Dignitas chose to part ways with the team.
It may as well be irrelevant but the speculations are hinting towards the possibility that F.C. Copenhagen could sign up with the ex-dignitas roster who are also qualified for the ELEAGUE Major, scheduled in January next year.
“We are following the course of developments in esports as other major football clubs are; It is an exciting area, one F.C. Copenhagen want to be part of in the future. But if and when that happens, only time will tell,” said Parken Sport og Entertainment A/S director Anders Hørsholt.
Football club entering into eSports isn’t a first-hand experience as we have already witnessed major clubs interestingly exploring in this emerging industry. As of today, there has been reportedly four major clubs venturing into Esports.
- Manchester City
- Valencia C.F.
- Bayern Munich
The initial reports of the investment which the management is pouring into can be roughly amounting to anything between 100,000 USD to a million.
