FaZe clan have been announced as the first European invite in IEM Sydney 2019 which takes place from March 30-April 5 2019 in the Qudos Bank Arena.

The defending champions join Renegades as they will look to reclaim the $250000 event, featuring 3 teams from Asia, 3 from Oceania and a team each from the European and American qualifiers along with the 8 invited teams.
FaZe won the 2018 edition of the tournament amidst much surprise, storming through favourites Astralis 3-0 in the Grand Finals with stand-in Richard “Xizt” Landström replacing Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer, with Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács bagging the MVP award.
