Fnatic wins Valorant Champions Tour Stage 2 Challengers 2 Finals

Fnatic overcame Team Liquid in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Europe Stage 2 Challengers 2 Grand Finals after beating the latter by a scoreline of 3-1 in a BO5 affair.

The Challengers 2 event of VCT’s Stage 2 Masters has come to a conclusion with the top two teams on the table, Fnatic and Team Liquid qualifying for the EMEA Challengers Final event. After a strong and dominating performance in the initial stage of the Playoffs, Fnatic left no stone unturned as they toppled the french spearheads, G2 Esports and Team Vitality. Previously in the Qualifiers, they breezed past through Ovation eSports and SAW before going down to Ascend in the Round of 8.

The above two teams had already booked their slots for the Challengers Final event after progressing on to the Grand Finals but they had to face each other for yet another time in a bid to get that whopping prize money of €15,000 and clinch that Champions crown. The Swedish side no doubt had a flawless run until they dropped a map in the Finale but the same never stopped them from succeeding.

Grand Finals Summary:

  • Match: Fnatic Vs Team Liquid.

With no room for error, the ex-Sumn FC boys completely defied the odds with 2 straight map wins, 13-6 on Bind and 13-4 on Split where the combined efforts of Domagoj “Doma” Fancev and newly signed Martin “Magnum” Penkov set up the rhythm for Fnatic.
