Former FaZe Clan member banned from Twitch after accidentally firing a real gun on Stream

A professional streamer has been banned from Twitch and dropped from his esports organization after firing a gun into his desk during a Call of Duty stream.

Twitch streamer Carl Riemer, known for streaming Call Of Duty and player of team SoaR Gaming, has had his Twitch account suspended indefinitely after the incident of him firing a live handgun while on stream went viral.

While talking to his viewer, Carl was pretending to threaten someone with a gun saying “ B***h say I ain’t got money” then pulling back the top slide of handgun once and said, “say got money”.

Beliving the gun was unloaded and empty he pulled the slide once more and fired on a cup on his desk. Although to his surprise the gun was loaded and the bullet ended up busting through the cup on his desk, ricocheting and breaking his monitor.

After the incident came to light, Twitch acted and suspended his account permanently. Later SoaR Gaming announced that Carl will be removed from the active roster immediately.

Carl after sometime uploaded an apology video on YouTube and saying that he is sorry and that he “deserves every bit of backlash”. He also explained that while streaming he was intoxicated and believed the gun to be unloaded and fired it. Later he went on to say that guns are not toys and shouldn’t be used to toy around.

“I was clearly intoxicated but the fact of the matter is whether sober or intoxicated, guns are not a toy. Even if I’ve had the gun for two years, you can still do something stupid like that.”

It’s unclear if Twitch will be un-banning him anytime soon even after the apology video and if that’s the case Carl would start streaming on YouTube.
