Fortnite, developed by ‘Epic Games’ is a game based on the battle royale concept. Ever since its release in July 2017, the game quickly built up a massive player base. Fast forward to the present, the game is known to collaborate with huge brands like Lego, NFL, Marvel, DC, and much more. They haven’t been shy when bringing some athletes(Neymar Jr., Lebron James, etc) and artists (Eminem, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, etc) to the game.
Considering the number of collaborations Fortnite has been a part of, their closet has multiple character skins you can choose from. You can be ‘Peter’ from ‘Family Guy’ or ‘Rick Sanchez’ from ‘Rick and Morty’ and the list goes on and on. Have you ever wondered how many character skins does Fortnite have in 2024? If yes, then you have reached the right place.
It would be difficult to list every skin in Fortnite and trust me, you won’t be reading through the whole list even if I mention every skin. To date, Fortnite has introduced a little over 1900 skins to the game and this number seems to be increasing very rapidly in the past couple of days.
You can expect these types of skins in Fortnite:
- Original Character Skins
- These are the skins that were designed and developed by Epic Games. These skins are not imported from anywhere and have never been a part of any collaboration. You can also call these default skins. Example – Renegade Raider, Scout, etc.
- Licensed Character Skins
- These skins are mostly characters from other games, movies, cartoons, anime, etc. Example – Loki, Satoru Gojo, Terminator, Optimus Prime, Darth Vader, etc.
- Real Character Skins
- These skins are made after real people. These people can be athletes, actors, singers, social media influencers, etc. Example – Khaby Lame, Billie Eilish, Neymar Jr., J Balvinder, etc.
- Lego Skins
- These skins are predominantly used in the Lego Fortnite part of the game. These skins are just Lego versions of the skins used in Regular Fortnite. Here are some examples that were recently added – Loki, Billie Eilish, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, etc
It is important to note that only a select number of skins are available to purchase every day as the items in the store are updated daily. Some of these skins have additional items called cosmetics that can purchased separately. Some of these skins only show up in the store once a year making them a collector’s item.
Having said this, Epic Games is making sure to keep everyone engaged and interested in the game by introducing new skins almost every week. If you are not in the mood to spend your hard-earned money in-game then hurry up and go complete the Battle Pass progress as that is where you can get your free skins.
