Fortnite’s New UI is Here

With the arrival of Fortnitemares 2023, Fortnite enthusiasts have been treated to a much-anticipated revamp of the game’s User Interface (UI). This change marks one of the most significant overhauls since the game’s inception. While there have been minor tweaks over the years, the last major shift was during Chapter 2.

The Fortnitemares 2023 update showcases Epic Games’ commitment to enhancing the user experience by adopting a more streamlined and intuitive design.

Key Highlights of the New Fortnite UI

  • Simplicity at its Best: The new UI emphasizes clarity and ease of use. Gone are the classic slanted rectangle buttons, replaced by smaller, curved-edge icons. This streamlined approach is evident across all pages, from the lobby to the Item Shop.
  • Repositioned Lobby Options: In a significant shift, the lobby options, which were previously scattered, are now neatly aligned to the left side of the screen. This change ensures a less cluttered view, with the main menu bar retaining its central position at the top.
  • Enhanced Navigation: The developers have prioritized swift and smooth navigation. For instance, within the Item Shop, controller users can seamlessly switch between tabs, thanks to a new sidebar tab feature.
  • Discover Tab’s Search Feature: A notable addition is the search functionality in the Discover tab. Players can now effortlessly search for maps crafted by their favorite creators, eliminating the need to manually input island codes.
