G2 Esports has unveiled its foray into traditional sports with the establishment of G2 Football Club. G2 FC is set to make its first appearance in the Kings League Germany. There, it will compete against eight other teams in a qualification series scheduled for announcement on April 12th. The top two teams from this series will earn the opportunity to represent Germany in the King’s World Cup Clubs 2025, which will be held in France.
The Kings World Cup Clubs 2025 is a forthcoming global seven-a-side football tournament organized under the Kings League umbrella, co-founded by former professional footballer Gerard Piqué and world-renowned streamer Ibai Llanos. The competition is scheduled to be held in France between June 1 and June 14, 2025, with the objective of declaring the world champion among clubs competing. The tournament will consist of 32 teams representing different regional divisions of the Kings League, such as Spain, Latin America, Italy, Germany, Brazil, and France.
G2 Esports is a European esports organization with its headquarters in Berlin, Germany. It was initially established in 2013 by Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago and Jens Hilgers as Gamers2 and later changed its name to G2 Esports in 2015. They compete in several such as League of Legends, Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, and more.
G2 FC has promoted Ron Stublla as Team Manager and Malik Hadziavdic as Head Coach. Stublla’s rich experience in sports management shall complement the operations, while former German National Futsal team player Hadziavdic shall be in charge of squad development and strategies. Team trials have been closed, and soon the official players list will be announced.

To enhance the viewing experience for its fanbase, G2 Esports has collaborated with German influencers Reeze and Rumathra. The duo will co-stream all G2 FC matches on their respective Twitch channels, ensuring accessibility and engagement for the community.
