Due to COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown that followed, things took a bitter turn for a couple who were about to get married. A Reddit user who goes by the name of Ashmush stated in a Reddit post.

“My fiancé and I had to cancel our upcoming wedding due to Covid-19, so our best friends gave us a surprise animal crossing wedding instead.”

Ahmed teamed up with some of his friends and planned a surprise digital “wedding” on his virtual island inside the game itself. He then invited Asha over to his island to collect some resources which is one of the concepts of the game. When Asha arrived, digital characters of their friends were already present there to greet her. Ahmed gave her avatar a beautiful dress to wear and roses to hold, everything a bride-to-be could ask for in the digital world.

The surprise worked wonders. Asha mentioned that, “This made me so happy, I don’t even have the words to describe how much it meant to me.” “Also if you zoom in close, he made a little N & S for our initials on the hearts floor”, she further added.

Tons of Reddit users congratulated the couple in the comments section; some even requested Asha to cheer up and to not feel down because of missing a milestone due to a pandemic. Also, there were many other couples whose wedding plans got canceled due to COVID-19.
