A Plague Tale: Innocence is free on Epic Games Store

Focus Home Interactive’s stealth adventure game, A Plague Tale: Innocence is free this week on Epic Games Store as a part of the store’s weekly giveaway.

Released on 14 May 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and 6 July 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X, the game has garnered positive reviews and was praised for its narrative, art, and sound design. A Plague Tale: Innocence has sold more than 1 million copies across all platforms and a sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem is set to release sometime next year.

A Plague Tale: Innocence’s official store description:

Follow the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history. Hunted by Inquisition soldiers and surrounded by unstoppable swarms of rats, Amicia and Hugo will come to know and trust each other. As they struggle to survive against overwhelming odds, they will fight to find purpose in this brutal, unforgiving world.

The second free game this week is Minit, a 2D indie puzzle game where the player’s life only lasts for a minute and will have to memorize certain patterns to progress within the time limit. The game was released on April 3 2018 and was previously free on Epic Games Store in 2019.

Minit’s official store description:

Minit is a peculiar little adventure played sixty seconds at a time. Journey outside the comfort of your home to help unusual folk, uncover countless secrets, and overcome dangerous foes, all in hopes of lifting a rather unfortunate curse that ends each day after just one minute. Minit is a collaboration between Kitty Calis, Jan Willem Nijman, Jukio Kallio & Dominik Johann.
