GTA Trilogy PC Details, Release Date, Steam Release, and System Requirements

Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Definitive Edition was announced just over a week ago and while Rockstar has yet to share any gameplay, we now know more details about the game thanks to various leaks on GTAForums.

The trilogy’s description was found by leakers ahead of its official unveiling scheduled for GTA 3’s upcoming 20th anniversary.

“Three iconic cities, three epic stories. Play the genre-defining classics of the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas updated for a new generation, now with across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing these beloved worlds to life with all-new levels of detail.”

“By purchasing Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition from store.rockstargames.com or the Rockstar Games Launcher by January 5th, 2022, you’ll receive a $10 discount on your next purchase through the Rockstar Games Launcher or Rockstar Web Stores on qualifying products of $15 or more (exchange rates apply). Discount expires January 16th, 2022. For complete details/terms click here.”

While GTA Trilogy is scheduled to release on Rockstar Games Launcher for PC, traces of a possible Steam version were found on Rockstar Games Launcher which contained SteamIDs for all three games, and its minimum and recommended system requirements which are as follows:

Minimum requirements

CPU: Intel Core i5-2700K / AMD FX-6300

GPU:Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2GB / AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB

RAM: 8 GB RAM

Storage: 45 GB Storage Space

OS: Windows 10

Recommended requirements

CPU: Intel Core i7-6600K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB / AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB

RAM: 16 GB RAM

Storage: 45 GB Storage Space

OS: Windows 10

These requirements seem to be higher than Grand Theft Auto V’s, although it could be because the trilogy is rumored to be running on Unreal Engine 4 which could explain its demanding requirements.

Although these leaks sound promising, they shouldn’t be taken too seriously until Rockstar reveals more details on October 22.
