Halo Infinite’s Campaign Overview shows a clear improvement over its initial gameplay reveal

Halo Infinite’s gameplay premiere was criticized heavily as the game, which was supposed to be a launch title for the Xbox Series S|X consoles, was clearly unfinished as its clay-like textures and pop-ins were quite apparent. The gameplay trailer also gave birth to the infamous Craig meme, a banished who had a rather amusing lack of expression despite being attacked by Master Chief.

Now over a year later and after numerous well-received multiplayer flights, Halo Infinite’s campaign has been re-revealed ahead of its December 8 release, and not only does it shed more light on the game’s Campaign, but it also shows obvious improvements in terms of the game’s visual upgrades.

The Campaign Overview trailer acknowledges Infinite’s connection to Halo 5 and shows off sections of the game’s starting moments where Master Chief teams up with an A.I called “The Weapon”, a carbon copy of Cortana who was Chief’s former A.I partner.

Additionally, players are also shown the game’s open-world elements, upgradable abilities, customizable weapons & gadgets along with a short introduction to The Banished, Master Chief’s primary adversaries;  who were first introduced in Halo Wars 2.

Halo Infinite is scheduled to release on December 8, 2021 for Xbox One & Series S|X (GamePass, Digital & Physical), and PC (Steam, Windows Store, GamePass).
