IO Interactive has shared several new announcements, including Hitman 3’s release on Steam and Xbox Game Pass along with new features and Year 2 updates coming to the game starting January 20, 2022.
Hitman 3 Year 2 Content
Elusive Target Arcade
This new game mode will let you take out targets consecutively. Elusive Targets in ths mode are permanent and are highly rewarding and if you fail an Arcade contract, you’ll be able to re-play the contract after a cooldown
Starting Year 2 – Hitman 3’s Target Arcade mode will include three contracts – The Ellipses, The Quanta, and The Vitae.
HITMAN Freelancer
The upcoming Freelancer mode will add roguelike elements to Hitman 3 which include a customizable Safehouse where you can modify your playstyle as you progress through this new mode. Freelancer features several missions from a modified version of the game’s main campaign. Any weapon or gear you carry with you will have to be returned to the safehouse or you’ll risk losing it.
Hitman 3 Ray Tracing features
Later this year, Hitman 3 is set to receive several graphical improvements as players will be getting the option to enable Ray Tracing for improved reflections and shadows as well as VRS to boost PC performance.
Hitman 3 will be one of the first games to feature Intel’s XeSS upscaling technology which works just like NVIDIA’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR tech.
Hitman 3 is scheduled to release alongside the Hitman Trilogy on Steam, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass on January 20.
