Sony’s State of Play showcase came with a few pleasant surprises, with one of them being the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection announcement. 2016’s Uncharted 4 which brings Natan Drake’s story to an end, and its 2017 spin-off, The Lost Legacy, are being remastered for PS5 and PC. While it was known Uncharted 4’s PC port was inevitable as it was mentioned during an investor meeting earlier this year, the addition of Lost Legacy was certainly unexpected.
Sony has been all-in on the PC market, especially after the success of Horizon: Zero Dawn and Days Gone. The company had recently acquired Nixxes Software, a studio known for developing PC ports. However, the Legacy of Thieves collection is being ported by Iron Galaxy, known for porting Spyro Re-Ignited Trilogy, and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy to PC.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection is set to release in early 2022 on PC (Steam, EGS). Sony states that the PC version will release “shortly” after the PS5 version and that they’ll share more details closer to launch.
