Gen.G Signs Former Global Esports Player t3xture For Valorant 2024 Season

Gen.G has announced the addition of former Global Esports and DWG KIA player Kim “t3xture” Na-ra. The signing of t3xture marks a significant development for Gen.G as they gear up for the upcoming Valorant 2024 season. This acquisition comes hot on the heels of retaining their first player, Kim “Meteor” Tae-O, indicating a shift towards building a formidable Korean-majority team.

Gen.G’s Roster For Valorant 2024 Season

After the recent announcement, Gen.G’s Valorant 2024 season roster includes the following two Korean players:

  • Kim “Meteor” Tae-O
  • Kim “t3xture” Na-ra

Gen.G put forth an impressive performance in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2023 season, winning four consecutive matches at the start of the season. However, as they moved ahead, they faced formidable challenges, resulting in a five-game losing streak. Despite these setbacks, they managed to secure a coveted playoff spot through a tiebreaker, ultimately finishing a commendable fourth place, trailing closely behind Paper Rex, DRX, and T1. Following this, Gen.G appeared in Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2023 Pacific Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ). Despite showing a commendable performance, the team faced an exit from the tournament from the Lower Bracket Final, finishing at third position.

T3xture started off his Valorant franchise league journey with India-based VCT Pacific League team Global Esports. During his tenure with Global Esports, t3xture showcased remarkable adaptability by consistently delivering stellar individual performances, even while playing as an Initiator, which was a completely different role from his primary Duelist role. However, despite his personal achievements, Global Esports fell short of expectations, finishing in eighth place in the league and failing to secure a single series win in the Last Chance Qualifier.

This new addition to Gen.G Valorant roster brings with it a pressing question concerning the role of Meteor, who has been recognized as a primary Duelist within the team. With both t3xture and Meteor holding similar roles, Gen.G faces an exciting challenge of optimizing their roster for peak performance.
