Global Esports have finally won their Grand Finals of the VCC qualifiers #2 after defeating Team XO in the Grand Finals. They are now the second Indian team to qualify for the main event.
They finished second in the VCC Qualifiers #1 after losing to Velocity Gaming in a closely contested matchup.
The Grand Finals was a best of five series where Global Esports showcased a dominating performance throughout and took a clean win of 3-0 in the series.
Global Esports vs Team XO Grand Finals
The map veto began with Team XO removing Breeze from the map pool and Global Esports picking Haven. The second map was Ascent which was chosen to be played by Team XO. Icebox was then picked by Global Esports and Bind by Team XO. Split was left out to be played as the decider for the series.
The first map of the series saw Global Esports winning by a huge margin with Ganesh “SKRossi” Gangadhar leading the scoreboard with 21K-7D and giving his team the perfect start. They won the map with a scoreline of 13-1.
Global Esports kept their composure in the second map as well and started off by winning seven rounds in the first half. They were able to get the remaining rounds in the next half and close out the map 13-9 in their favor.
The third map saw a head-to-head fight between both the teams leading to both the teams securing six rounds each in the first half. Team XO started the second half on a good note and won the next four rounds. Although, Global Esports came back and won seven rounds consecutively eventually winning the map 13-10 and the series 3-0.
Global Esports became the last team to qualify for the Valorant Conquerors Championship Main Event from the regional qualifier.
There is still a slot left for the main event and for that Team XO will be competing in the Wildcard Qualifiers. The matches will be streamed on Nodwin Gaming‘s Youtube channel.
