God of War Ragnarok PC: Content, Features, & More

After the successful release of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, PlayStation Studios are set to release God of War Ragnarök on PC. Just like earlier trends, PlayStation Studios have added some exclusive features in the PC release.

Let’s take a look into all God of War Ragnarök PC Exclusive features and additional content confirmed in the announcement trailer.

Widescreen Ratio

The screen ratio on the PlayStation platform is limited to a maximum of 16:9. However, PlayStation Studios have decided to reconsider this limitation for the PC release. God of War Ragnarök PC will have native support for 21:9 ultra-widescreen and 32:9 super ultra-widescreen.

Higher Frame Rates with 4K

God of War Ragnarök could not exceed 60fps at any resolution on the PlayStation platform due to PlayStation’s restriction of 60fps. With the PC release, this restriction has been removed making it possible for the game to go well over 60fps even with 4K resolution on capable PCs.

Upscaling Support

PlayStation Studios have made sure to include support for Upscaling by integrating the Upscaling technologies used by Nvidia, AMD, and Intel graphics cards. Here is the list of technologies integrated into the game:

  • DLSS 3.7 (Nvidia)
  • FSR 3.1 (AMD)
  • XeSS 1.3 (Intel)

DLC Content

God of War Ragnarök was released on November 9th, 2022 for the PlayStation platform and received its one and only DLC on December 12th, 2023. With the God of War Ragnarök PC release PlayStation Studios have decided to include this DLC with the game on Day 1.

Having said this, players and fans of the franchise are very excited to see their beloved game coming to PC. The release date for God of War Ragnarök is set for September 19, 2024.
