Godlike Esports’ New Coach Believes Indian Teams are Lagging Behind in Strategy

GodLike Esports, one of the most prominent esports organisations in India, has been teasing its new international Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) coach for the past few weeks. The team’s analyst Potter recently shed light on this mysterious figure, disclosing that the coach is not only a non-Indian but also a woman. More intriguingly, she brings a wealth of game knowledge that surpasses that of many Indian coaches.

GodLike Esports’ Coach Points to Strategy Gap Between Indian BGMI Teams and Their Global Counterparts

According to Potter, the coach has expressed concerns about the strategic landscape in the Indian BGMI esports. The coach pointed out a significant challenge faced by Indian teams – the issue of heal battle. In the live stream, Potter echoed her sentiments that the coach firmly believes Indian teams are lagging behind in strategy compared to their global counterparts.

What sets the new coach apart, according to Potter’s revelations, is her deep understanding of the game. Potter claimed that her knowledge surpasses that of many Indian coaches, marking a potential change in how GodLike Esports approaches their gameplay.

The coach stated that the reliance of Indian teams on heal battles is a simplistic and less strategic approach. Following this, Potter argued that with the current state of zone damage, teams can secure Chicken Dinners by engaging in heal battles, diminishing the need for intricate and innovative strategies.

Potter added that a lot of T1 teams raised their voices that the zone damage is very low, and teams are getting Chicken Dinners by doing heal battles. Potter stated that teams could adopt a straightforward strategy – securing a position early on, holding it until the fifth circle, and then engaging in heal battles with a stockpile of first aids. He argued that this would guarantee a team a prominent position on the leaderboard.

While this strategy might seem effective, the concern lies in its simplicity and lack of innovative strategy. Godlike Esports’ coach believed that if a lot of teams adopt the same approach, the game’s competitive landscape will become predictable and monotonous.
