As IEM returns to Sydney, ESL, earlier today has announced the division of sixteen teams in two groups for the Intel Extreme Masters: Sydney 2019. $250,000 USD is on the table as teams from across the globe will fight for the title from April 30 – May 05. The premier event will be hosted at Qudos Bank Arena with a capacity to accommodate 21,000 fans.
Teams are segregated into two groups on the basis of ‘ESL World Rankings’. Initial matches will be best of one matchup while the other encounters are supposed to be best of three expect the grand finale being a best of five battle. Vertigo which recently made its entry into active map pool will not be in action, instead, cache will stay in the map pool.
