Despite reports suggesting that the game’s development was lagging, it is still scheduled for release in 2025. The publisher of Grand Theft Auto 6, Take-Two Interactive, said during an earnings call that the next GTA 6 game will launch in the fall of 2025.
GTA 6 is the most anticipated game of the decade and the entire process leading up to the launch has been anything but smooth. Starting with the data breach, to the launch delay, GTA 6 had its fair share of controversies.
GTA 6 has been under development for a long time and it remained a well-kept secret until someone revealed it online and the developers were forced to announce it. Following its trailer reveal, the anticipation has built up even more but the launch remains more than a year away.
“We do feel highly confident that we’ll deliver [Grand Theft Auto VI] in fall of 2025,” Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick said.
The publishers have reassured in their statement that the game will be in the hard drives of millions in the fall of 2025. Given the last GTA game was released around a decade ago, we can expect GTA 6 to build on the success of GTA V but rushing the release has often led to debacles like CP2077.
