For a period of 1 week (March 30 – April 5), Hitman 3 Starter Edition is free to grab for PS4, PS5, Xbox One & Series X|S, Stadia, and PC (thru EGS). This isn’t the first occurrence as Hitman 2’s Starter edition was also free to grab on all platforms a good while ago.
The Starter edition of Hitman 3 is essentially a barebones version of the main game and contains the complete first mission which takes place in Dubai on the tallest building in the world. Keep in mind that this mission is only available until April 5. It also contains a good amount of free content including the ICA Facility where you can earn XP and interact with your handler as well as the first mission ‘Nightcall’ from Hitman 2. All the XP and unlocks will carry over shall you decide to purchase the full game. But that’s not all as the Starter edition will also include Elusive Targets and weekly challenges as it is in the Standard editions of the game. Over time, players will be granted access to various locations and missions from Hitman 3 for a limited time.
This version of Hitman 3 does not come with VR support on PlayStation, to access the VR mode, players will have to purchase the Standard Edition.
Owners of previous Hitman titles can also carry over levels from both Hitman 1 and 2 and experience them with Hitman 3’s mechanics, notably the camera by importing their progress on IO Interactive’s website.
