How did GodLike Esports qualify for PMGC 2021 Grand Finals

In a shocking turn of events, GodLike Esports will be representing India at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 even after ranking fourth at BGIS 2021. This comes after the top three teams fail to produce the documents necessary for travelling abroad to play in the PMGC 2021 finals.

Battlegrounds Mobile India was the biggest BGMI tournament in India till date and with a large sum of money at stake, teams like Skylightz, Team XO, TSM and GodLike were in a close battle at the final stage.

These four teams were fighting toe-to-toe and the winner was uncertain till the very last match of BGIS grand finals. Skylightz Gaming performed incredibly well to win the tournament and walked away with ₹50,00,000 and the seeding slot for PMGC 2021 grand finals but things turned out to be quite different in the end. TSM and Team XO were the runner ups with GodLike ranking fourth.

India had received the invitational slot at PMGC finals and the winners of BGIS 2021 were supposed to represent the country at international stage. A day after BGIS 2021 concluded, it was revealed that GodLike esports would be getting the slot because top three teams could not provide the necessary documents in time.

It was necessary for all the winning players to have a passport with at least six month validity. Furthermore, players should have been fully vaccinated and tested negative before travelling abroad for grand finals. If these conditions were not satisfied, the slot would be transferred to the next team in overall scoreboard.

Due to this, Team XO and TSM were subsequently given a chance to provide these documents but they were lacking some of the necessary ones. Team GodLike has fulfilled everything and hence, they will be travelling abroad to represent India at the PMGC 2021 Grand Finals.
