Shiny Pokémon are extremely rare Pokémon that have a tiny chance of appearing in the wild. They were introduced in the Generation II games and possess a different colour scheme than ordinary Pokémon. Upon the appearance of a shiny Pokémon in the wild or from its Poké Ball, it gets surrounded by a flash of stars or light and a pinging sound effect.
How to get Shiny Psyduck in Pokémon GO
To get a shiny Psyduck in Pokémon GO, players have to complete stage 7 of the Timed Research quest that was introduced to the game as a part of the Animation Week.
Here’s what you need to do to finish the seventh stage of the quest:
- Hatch an Egg: Tentacool
- Spin 3 PokéStops or Gyms: Croagunk
- Spin 3 PokéStops or Gyms: Piplup
After you finish this stage, you will receive the following rewards: 500 Stardust, 500 XP, Psyduck
According to reports, the Psyduck you’ll receive as the reward for this quest has an extremely high chance to be shiny.
