Format:
IEM Cologne 2024 is distributed in three stages, namely, the play-in, group stage, and playoffs. Play-in consists of a double-elimination BO3 bracket and teams will advance to the group stage if they win two games, and will be eliminated if they lose two.
The group stage will feature the double-elimination BO3s where the winners of each group will go to the semifinals while the runners-ups will go to the quarterfinals. The playoffs switch to a single-elimination bracket, with a BO3 quarterfinal, BO3 semifinal, and BO5 grand final.
