Team Mahi threatens “legal action” against ex-player Excali

India’s one of the top Valorant roster Team Mahi is planning to take legal action against their former player Karan ‘Excali’ Mhaswadkar. The announcement was made on their social media after TalkEsport broke the story of Excali joining Samurai Esports.

Team Mahi has claimed Karan is still under contract with their organization and the move by Samurai Esports has “shocked them.” The statement on their instagram read “strict legal action will be taken against him (Karan).” Although there’s no further clarification on how long is the contract.

Samurai Esports’ Valorant Roster

  • Simar ‘psy’ Sethi
  • Karan ‘Excali’ Mhaswadkar
  • Harsh ‘Harsh’ Arora
  • Saaransh ‘Whimp’ Dang
  • Shailesh ‘blackhawk’ Dalvi

The news of Samurai Esports signing Karan was announced on their official social media channel.

There has been no response from Samurai Esports on the allegation of the breach of contract by Team Mahi. Further, the social media mention has Karan, flashing Samurai’s official jersey which suggests the shoots have been taking place and it was well planned.

India’s Valorant scene has been garnering immense traction compared to what CS:GO offered. However, this is a debut controversy broiling of this nature.

As it appears, the old duo Simar ‘psy’ Sethi and Karan ‘Excali’ Mhaswadkar who were earlier team mates in CS:GO are back together in Valorant too.
