Alliance hire James Banks as General Manager for Valorant division

European esports organization Alliance will be entering Valorant moving forward into 2021, the organization announced.

Best known for their Dota 2 line-up, Alliance will be entering the growing Valorant scene in Europe ahead of their tour ahead of the Valorant Champions tour in 2021. With Team Vitality, G2 , FunPlus Phoenix, and NiP looking to form the competitive scene in EU, Alliance’s decision will motivate more orgs to follow suit.

With freshly minted General Manager, James Banks will be at the driving wheel of the operation. Working as the host/caster in the Blast Premier event, Banks is a veteran in the esports scene and has an ideal profile to lead this project.

“Together with my experience and their fantastic support team we will be on the hunt for the right team or players to create something special. The facilities that Alliance have are impressive and I can’t wait to get the right players who are hungry, motivated and want to be the future champions of VALORANT under the Alliance banner.” said Banks.

“This is a new challenge and a new chapter for me. I have been enjoying every aspect of VALORANT since beta. When I was first talking to the guys at Alliance they were very serious in how they wanted to approach the VALORANT scene and what they could offer a team.”

Banks brings years of experience from FPS games to the table essential to build a esports team from the scratch. Given the magnitude of the Alliance brand, he will have an enormous task on his shoulder heading into the new year.
