After repeated failed attempts to get his VAC ban removed from CSGO, Jamppi might be bidding farewell to the competitive shooter by Valve once and for all. According to a report from Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat, the 19-year-old is looking to switch to Valorant to pursue his professional career in esports.
For the unaware, the Steam account of Jamppi received a Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) ban way back in 2015. This prohibits him from participating In any Valve events, including majors.
In his lawsuit against Valve, Jamppi claimed that the VAC ban had hindered his signing to OG and permanently prevented him from participating in any CSGO majors. The lawsuit was later declined by the court following a number of legal complications.
This comes after a DBLTAP report saying that ENCE was looking to sign ‘Snappi’ and ‘TMB’ to their active CSGO roster.
This potential move wouldn’t be a new thing, though. Previously, we have seen a bunch of other banned CSGO pros switch to Valorant to continue their eSports careers including the likes of former CSGO prodigy Braxton ‘Swag’ Pierce or Joshua ‘steel’ Nissan, both of whom are permanently banned from participating in Valve events.
